Our Process

Your journey to a greener future in
5 steps

This is how we approach a typical Toasty battery or heat pump installation. We support you every step of the way and work with your installer to ensure everything goes as smoothly as it should.

  • Step 1

    Tell us about your home

Take our short online assessment to tell us more about your home, we’ll tell you straight away if it’s suitable.

    Provide your details

If it’s likely your home is a battery or a heat pump match, leave us your details and we’ll make contact to talk it through.

    Talk with our team

We’ll be in touch to answer any of your questions and to make the necessary arrangements.

  • Step 2

    Home Assessment

We’ll then arrange a surveyor to attend your property (don’t worry, this bit’s less than an hour) to discuss the project with you – nothing beats a good look, first hand. The surveyor will take some measurements and, if you’re having a heat pump, will see if your radiators are up to scratch.

    Analyse results

We’ll present all the findings to you in an easy to understand format, and together we decide how to proceed. Take as much time as you need, we won’t pressure you to progress!

    Personalised illustration

If you provide us with a recent utility bill, we can calculate current and future energy costs, after installation. This will help you understand the impact it will have on your bills.

  • Step 3

    Meet your installer

We’ll arrange for your installer to pay a visit prior to any work commencing. Only if you’re happy will we sign contracts and proceed to schedule a provisional fitting date.

    Arrival of battery/heat pump

A few days before your installation is scheduled, we’ll arrange for delivery of the main component parts of the system – this could be the energy storage battery, or the heat pump and hot water cylinder. You may need to store these temporarily.

    Preliminary work

It may be that we need to move heavy parts to where they’re to be installed, prepare the ground for fixing a heat pump or a plinth for a battery etc – some work could be necessary prior to your engineer visit and this will take no more than a day.

  • Step 4

    Installation

After your contract cooling off period, where you have a right to change your mind, your installer will attend to fit your new heat pump system.

    Competency assured

Toasty only work with MCS certified installers, a mark of competence meaning the quality and reliability of the system installed is assured.

    Handover

We’ll handover your new system, provide you with any guidance you need and leave you with all warranties, user information and a helpline number should you encounter any setup problems.

  • Step 5

    Completion & Aftercare

Once the installation process is complete, you’ll receive notification of our application to any grant funding (e.g. the Boiler Upgrade Scheme) on your behalf.

    Contact

We’ll make contact via telephone/email a week after installation is complete, to ensure that you’re comfortable with your new battery or heat pump system – this is a chance for you to ask any further questions you might have.

    Ongoing servicing

Toasty can also provide battery and heat pump servicing. It’s recommended that you have your system checked once a year and we’ll help you to keep it working just as new!
